y'know what's funny in a 'not really funny at all but i have to laugh or i'll start biting people' kind of way??

the adaptation team working overtime to make the relationship between javier and lloyd look so much less deeper than it actually is in the novel makes the novel look so much gayer than it already did on its own. like. sorry but your attempts to cover up the homoerotism just makes it stand out more in its absence.

because if there truly was nothing remarkable about lloyd and javier's relationship and they were just very good friends and nothing else then why take the time and effort to change it in the adaptation so they look less close than they actually are.

why skip entire scenes that make their relationship deeper. why change their dialogue and thoughts so they're less invested in one another. why give interactions that they had with each other to their romantic interests. actually why give javier a whole new love interest that did not exist in the novel.

why go through so much trouble to change something that is so important in the source material if there truly was nothing else going on in the novel.

what was it about their relationship that made the adaptation team decide they just needed to change everything about it so they weren't as close and attached as they were originally.

if they were truly nothing but platonic with each other in the source material then why change their relationship so much in the adaptation that it's almost unrecognizable.

what about it did they find so unappealing that they simply had to modify it until it was but a shadow of itself.

in trying to cover up something they only managed to call attention to it by the people who knew what was there originally. now we know that they wanted to get rid of it so badly they were willing to butcher the story and plot for it.

Dick sends the photographer a wink, paired with that signature grin of his, and she nearly falls on her ass. You roll your eyes at the scene affectionately, focused on fixing your hair and checking your makeup for the nth time in the past hour.

'Will you quit it?'

Beside you, your best friend whines and you swat him away with your hand, eyes never leaving the mirror.

'I'm sorry! I just wanna make sure it looks good!'

'You look beautiful. You're doing great, you just need to relax. Focus on me, yeah?'

It's honestly impossible to say no to those eyes, you've learned that a long while ago. The fact that he knows the effect he has doesn't help either.

The photoshoot goes by in a blur. You've changed at least five outfits, done the couple shoots, done the single ones, had a lunch break, etc etc. Throughout the day you learn that the crew that works for Gotham Gazette is actually quite nice, which helped ease your nerves immensely.

Now six hours later, you're sitting in your comfortable clothes, in the passenger seat of Dick's car, on the familiar road towards the Wayne Mansion.

As soon as you step through the door you're greeted with a flash of purple.

'How was it?! Tell me everything! When will the cover be out?! What did you wear?! Who did you see?!'

Stephanie looks as if she's about to burst and simultaneously split her face in half with her grin.

Beside you Dick rolls his eyes so hard you could almost hear the gesture.

Dick, as always, steps in between the two brothers, effectively averting what could result in another prank war between the two. And it's not even prank season yet.

With that the two dissappear from the room, a very confused Damian letting himself be led by a beaming Dick.

Allowing yourself to feel the tiredness from everything you've done today, you plop on the now empty seat on the couch and sigh deeply.

You have to blink a few times before your brain catches up with his words. Much to his dismay, you don't soften, if anything you look even more pissed now.

'I still don't understand why you've been avoiding me.'

The volume of his words startles you and you swear he was heard a couple blocks away.

Jason takes a step closer to you.

I remember sitting in an IHop and talking to my then-friend about it being picked up for a webtoons original! Years later, and I'm still updating my now-boyfriend about what Bea and Laz are up to each week. Your comic has followed me all the way through college graduation, two years of a relationship, and our first apartment. I've seen your posts about weird representation of society (regarding the "natural order of things") in xenofiction, especially in lion king, so I wanted to ask:

could you recommend any xenofiction media that has all (or most of the) animal species sapient? Or is the only solution to make just one or two species sapient while the others (especially prey) are plain animals?

Really sorry if you've seen this ask from me before - my account had a weird laggy period when I couldn't send or receive messages and asks, so I don't know if you got the previous one! I just know that now it's fixed so I double all the asks sent haha

Honestly I'm not totally sure! If any 3rd person has some good recommendations for "every being is alive" xenofiction types, feel free to weigh in.

If you want to jump in with me though, I am following the webcomic Africa. It updates every Wednesday. Africa is about a mother Leopard on the verge of a great ecological disaster, the relationship between her children and the animals around her, and the strength of both instinct and choice as the characters face an uncertain future.

Since it's ongoing, I still don't know how it's going to end and can't judge it as a full work! But it's absolutely fascinating and I think the author is doing a fantastic job so far. Bonus points for the way it portrays humans, btw.

No more spoilers though, if you're interested, it's on Webtoons.

As an aside though, funny you mention it because like... ever since I was a kid I've had a story I want to tell with the premise. It's a scintilla I've kept close to me for well over a decade but haven't done anything official with. So this is actually a theme I've thought about a lot.

It's rare to see it done well though because like... its very premise butts heads with reality. The "natural order" that an animal follows is not something it moralizes. A tiger doesn't have the capacity to think about how fucked up it is to kill to stay alive, the deer doesn't know that if its population isn't controlled it will destroy the forest.

They're animals. They don't HAVE that agency. Your dog does not care about being sterilized. A snake doesn't differentiate between a pinky and an adult mouse except in terms of if it will fit in its mouth. But the minute you put human morality in there... they have the ability to reason, create and agree on the rules of a society, make choices about MORALITY.

If nothing is going to change about their world, you just end up putting human arguments about "natural order" in their mouths and, well... start telling a parable justifying this "natural order."

(Genuine) Does what I'm saying make sense? Animals DON'T rationalize or negotiate. HUMANS do.

So the minute you're approaching a world with that logic, like it or not, you are invoking those "arguments from nature." And you're putting them in a being that is not fully an animal or a human, but an anthropomorphic mix which CAN rationalize but WON'T make an effort to change their world.

(Which is why tbh the best examples i know of are works with a theme of "change.")

OH WAIT I also remember another that's interesting!! Leafy: Hen into the Wild actually has a fascinating take on it. It's not interested in "moralizing" or really being about an animal society. It's a very emotional sort of movie, and it's about joys in adversity, the freedom that choice gives you, how bad things are going to happen and you can never completely prevent them.

INTENSE movie emotionally, the ending will wreck you (especially in the English translation which leaves out a really important theme making it feel abrupt x_x) but it's really good. Check that one out.

OH and also You Are Umasou. That one has more pitfalls imo (it does try to moralize a bit) but it's super unique as a movie. And is about dinosaurs.

She turns back to her phone and is met with a black screen. ‘ Huh? ‘ 

She immediately clicks the phone screen, thinking that the virus is already in her laptop. A young boy appears on her home screen, her favourite idol automatically a smile appears.

Without thinking twice, she taps the app and scrolls down. Strangely, it’s completely fine and there is no link at the end of the chapter. ‘ Okie, that’s strange. ‘ She thinks.

‘ Maybe I read Wattpad too much this morning that I am seeing things now?  ‘ She sighs. “ I swear I will be gone crazy if their concert also continues like this. “ She mumbles, switching off her lamp, and preparing to sleep.

“ Good night, world. A great tomorrow is waiting for me. I love myself. “ She whispers before falling into a deep sleep due to her tiredness.

“ YON!! “ Euntae facepalms after hearing a certain someone’s shout, feeling not surprised but disappointed. “ Not again. “ she mumbles under her breath. 

Not too long, an angry yet annoyed Soju-I mean Sojo appears, ready to attack her sweet friend yet enemy while Yon is using Euntae as a shield as if they both are about to start world war three.

Well, this time, the bell saves the not-so-scared girl, named Yon. “ You better give strawberry smoothie not else say goodbye to your plushie. “ Sojo grins evilly. “ Noooo! Not my Layla, “ Yon dramatically cries. 

“ Fine, I will get you one. But, no tiger plushie then, “ Yon sticks her tongue, then walks into her classroom without seeing Sojo’s reaction. 

She doesn’t need to see them since she’s been friends with them for five years. Correction, best friends.   

“ Noooo- “ Sojo doesn’t have time to be dramatic since Euntae is dragging her. “ Let’s go! We are going to be late. “

“ Alright, class is dismissed. “The teacher says while gathering all of her things. 

 “ Finally, lunch timeeeee! “ someone shouts with joy despite the teacher still there and then, one by one disappear into the cafeteria. Yon is the only one left in the classroom along with her class teacher.

She is also about to go grab her lunch. “ Yon? “ 

“ Yes, Miss Kim? “ her class teacher suddenly calls her, startling the girl a little. “ Can you take this to the library? “ She says while handing a thick yet old book to the girl. 

“ Of course, Miss Kim. What should I say or maybe where should I put it? “ The girl takes the book and carefully embraces it.

 “ Just give it to Miss Jang and tell her it’s from me. “ The girl nods in reply. “ Please excuse me, Miss Kim, “ she bows before she leaves. 

As soon as she opens the door, she is met with really familiar faces, who are no other than Sojo and Euntae. It’s normal for her because they always wait for her to go get lunch together. 

“ Let’s go? “ Sojo says and the girl shakes her head as a no. “ Sorry, I have to give it to Miss Jang. I’ll catch you up later. Don’t wait for me. “ She says, feeling a bit sorry. 

“ Okiee, you better hurry or else your food is mine. “ Sojo sticks her tongue in a teasing tone. “ We’ll wait for you there. See ya, “ Euntae drags the childish friend for the second time. She nods in approval. 

They all part away to go to their respective destination. It didn’t take long for her since the library is just four rooms away from her classroom.

Just as she is told to do, she goes straight to Miss Jang’s desk. But, she is not there. 

‘ She must be having lunch right now. ‘ She thinks. She places the book carefully on her desk and looks for someone to hand a message to. As expectedly, no one is here.

She gets a yellow sticky note and writes a message before sticking it on the desk. When she is about to join her friends, a sudden thing caught her attention. It’s her laptop. 

‘ I thought I handed it to Miss Kim? ‘ She frowns. It isn’t like that laptop is not allowed at school here. It is allowed only when it comes to computer science classes. But, it goes the opposite when it is a phone.

If they are not allowed to use laptops, they have to give them to their room teacher so that they can focus on their lessons without distraction.

Ding!

“ I thought I switched it off too…? Wait, I was seeing things last night and now hearing things? “ She whispers, feeling more confused.

Without her knowing, she grabs it and opens it, wanting to check whether she is really imagining things or not. Much to her surprise, there is no sign of an opening laptop.

Just then, her laptop’s screen is glitching. It gives her goosebumps. Its glitching noise becomes louder and louder, causing her to cover her ears. 

Everything around her is shaking non-stop as if there is an earthquake. She immediately reacts to it and hides under a desk with a laptop in her hand. 

When everything is calmed down, a message appears on her screen.

Be careful, dear!

Watch your surrounding.

She tilted her head in confusion. ‘ What? ‘ ‘ What is that? ‘ ‘ Is it a virus? ‘ Many questions are popping up in her mind. But, a loud noise snaps her out of her thought. 

Her head immediately turns to it. “ Who is there? Miss Jang? Is that you? “ She shouts, letting her guard up. She waits for a reply but, she gets none.

She stands up slowly not letting her guard down. She feels like someone has passed behind her. “ Who is there? “ 

No reply again. 

“ Who is it? Please show up or else I am reporting it to the principal. “ She tries to threaten although she is scared. Her leg is trembling so badly.  

Her eyes are wandering around, hoping to spot that person. Much to her surprise, she spots a book, that lying on the ground in an opening position. 

Despite being afraid and scared that she will get hurt, she takes a step slowly toward it, using all her strength. 

It's a leather book with golden decoration and seems like it’s an old book due to its old papers. 

She carefully picks it up and looks up at its place. But, there is no blank space strangely if it falls from the bookshelf while shaking. 

Just then, she spots a black shadow in the corner of her eyes. “ Who are you? “ She approaches slowly yet quietly. But, it disappears quickly. Yon doesn’t let it go this time. She chases after it. 

Without her notice, she reaches the middle of the bookshelves and still, there is no trace of that person. Her doe eyes scan around the room, but still no hints. 

Much to her surprise, a pair of hands pull her, covering her mouth, giving her no time to react. That is when a light flashes in front of her eyes and then, a thick black fog covers her. 

She feels like someone is choking her as she is struggling to breathe. Suddenly, she has been pulled again as if her soul and body are connected to their original place.

She grasped for air, unable to balance herself. When her breathing rate is normal, she looks up and meets with a familiar yet unfamiliar person.

A woman in her twenties looks at her confusedly. She appears to be kind and gentle. Her green suit along with the white soft scarf makes a perfect match with her hazel eyes. 

“ Are you okay, Alex? “ The woman spoke up in concern. ‘ Alex? ‘ The girl thinks. ‘ She is familiar. Where did I see her? ‘ The girl glances beside her. The place looks like a school but not her school and it’s oddly familiar.

“ Alex? “ A woman’s call snaps her out of her thoughts. “ Yes, ma’am? “ She answers with hesitation. “ What happened? Are you not feeling well? “ 

“ I am fine, ma’am. “ The girl smiles, assuring her. A woman checks her from head to toe, trying to find something wrong. But, none. “ Alright, I have told you what you have to know. Here, it’s your class timetable. “ She says while handing the girl a paper. 

“ Thank you, ma’am, “ she bows despite feeling confused. “ This will be your room, Alex. “ Both of them are in front of a certain door. Yon nods in reply. “ Alright, that’s all, I guess. Hope you will do your best here. “ 

“ Welcome to Decelis Academy, Alex, “ she smiles before walking away. The girl is so shocked due to a familiar world that the book and paper, she is holding are dropped to the ground.

1. 7 Days before Valentine (1/12 WeTV)

Hm... This was not what I expected. The acting was a little bit over the top. I don't know if I can stand Sunshine. The feeling this first episode gave me was kinda off. I don't know. Right now I don't know if I want to keep watching it.

2. BL Drama no Shuen ni Narimashita: Crank Up Hen (1/3 on Gaga)

This series gives me so much joy! I wasn't expecting this being so funny! It is hilarious, a little bit cringy, but for the right amount and not over the top. It is really a blast. The characters are lovable and the managers are the best 😂 I am really enjoying myself with this one.

3. Cherry Magic (3/12 on Youtube)

I love the japanese version and I try to not compare those two with each other. So far I am doing quite well. I liked the first epiosde. I like Tay as this absolutely whipped character. And for now I am hating GMMTV for a lousing contract and the Japan's network for copyright strinking the series so we international fans aren't able to watch the series anymore on legal sites...

4. Cityboy_Log (11/? on Youtube)

Soon-to-be Idols, actors and models vlog their days of photo shoots and meetups and how they fall in love with each other. It is surprisingly good and the acting is excellent. It really feels like a "real" vlog and that is what we are all here for. I really enjoy those four men on my screen.

5. Cooking Crush (2/12 on Youtube)

I have to admit beside Not Me, I am not the biggest fan of OffGun. Their slapstick humour is just not mine. I can't get the right feeling for this series right now. I will wait and see how it turns out with more episodes... Guess I'll drop this one soon if I am not watching the next episode and catch up on the already aired ones...

6. Dead Friend Forever (1/12 on iQiyi)

Do I like horror? Nope, not at all. But so far I had fun with the first episode. Everytime there was some suypence I just looked away and as long as there are no creepy sounds I am good. The plot gives such a typical highschool/college horror vibe and I kind of like it.

7. For Him (1/12 on iQiyi)

I don't know if I will keep up with this one. Actingwise it is not that bad. We have to wait a bit for a deeper story. Right now it is just friends with benefits and I really hope there is something more to come. But a safe-sex-policy! I like that. And I forgot about this one... Guess it was a little bit much these past weeks. I don't know if I'll drop this at the end of the month or not...

8. Last Twilight (8/12 on Youtube)

I got fucking emotional when Mhok read from The Little Prince and they had this whole big conversation through the book and I am in tears just thinking about it. The Little Prince is very special to me. The series is so soft and so good! The friendship that they build up, the trust between them, the looks, the tension! I love it! And Mhok is the biggest green flag, disguised as a red flag ever! He is the warmest person ever!

9. Pit Babe (7/13 on Youtube)

Ladies and Gentlemen! We have an Omegaverse! I am still in shock! I usually don't dive into the omegaverse, but I did read some webtoons. I am curious how they'll play it out. What the hell was this conversation about wanting kids? Is there mpreg? Why do I have to think about such stuff... It would be something different indeed. But perhaps they wanted to have some fun with us...

10. Playboyy (6/14 on Gaga)

I am intrigued! I needed to call my best friend and tell her about what I have seen. Not just the amount of sex and masturbation and wet dreams, but the way it is filmed. I am intruígued! It looks like a romantic dream combined with porn. It is so artsy and it feels like watching a ballet. In it the dance explains the plot and here the sex, the camera, the lightning and everything around the plot describe the plot. It is so good!

11. Sahara Sensei to Toki-kun (3/8 on Gaga)

Toki is a little bit over the top for me, a little bit too goofy, but the obverall first impression was not that bad. And to be honest who didn't have a crush on a teacher during their school time? Mine was my german teacher in 10th grade. He was young and he wore leather pants. He was cool and really good at his job. I loved learning at that time.

12. The Sign (6/12 on Youtube)

I am already in love with this series! Mystical elements, a good chemistry between the actors, some fighting, naked men... What else could I wish for... Oh yeah, and an accidental kiss 😂 But I still enjoyed it so much!

13. Twins (9/12 on Gaga)

I don't know what it is. The story is... nothing special. The acting is okayish. Sprite's/Zee's facial expression need some time to get used to. And yet, I like this show! It is one of my most anticipated watches of the week. I like First and I LOVE enemies to lovers 😅 It is one of my weak spots!

1. Boys Like Boys (10/10 on Gaga)

This taiwanese dating show accompaniese eight men on their six days journey to find love. All the contestants were so lovable and nice and unique. I enjoyed this show very much! My romance-heart had been fed over the past weeks with this show and with the last episode it got a suger overdose 😅 Because this is a dating show and not a regular series, my rating is a little bit simpe. I liked it so it gets 10 out of 10 points.

2. Bake me please (6/6 on Gaga)

This series is so good! It gave me a good feeling over the weeks. Even though the drama in episode five was a little bit too manufactured and a bit too much, I enjoyed the show. It made my sundays something special and gave me a real warm feeling. I can just recommend it to watch (perhaps binge it while eating delicious cake and drink some hot chocolate). I will miss it! And I liked Ohm and Guide together! Peach was such a sweetheart and his smiles made me smile. Guy... I loved you, than I hated you and in the end I just liked you... You lost me in episode 5... Because it made me feel so good, I give it a 10 out of 10.

I never found the Cursed Princess Club appealing ever since I started reading Webtoon but oh boy was I wrong

I only started it because I saw a Tumblr posting describing it, saying that it's a comedy that deals with serious irl topics and after binging it, it's honestly so fun and I can't wait to see where it goes especially because it's ending soon

Webtoon: After School Lessons for Unripe Apples (ch 1 to 126)

Why do I do this to myself? To try chasing my Lovely Runner blues away, now I'm hooked to korean webtoon ASLFUA 😭! Which is exponentially worse because 1. it's still ongoing, 2. not 100% assured the OTP will end up together (Soonki pls pinky promise me). Well, at least it has free official eng translations (big plus)!

Got curious because I saw the fanart. It's not an art style I usually go for, but the author is Soonkki. Cheese in the trap was a kdrama I was intrigued of from the start (Jung!), but didn't get to finish because of the negative reviews, but I'll check out the webtoon soon which is finished yay!

Lovely Runner made me miss coming of age, youth romance stories, so this one really fits the bill. Cheol is a very tall big built male lead, while Mi-ae is a small pea, which reminded me a lot of the Sun Jae-Sol dynamic. But that's where most of the similarities end. This is about Mi-ae's school life adventures, trying her hardest to be friends with the new scary deskmate (who of course is a softie inside), trying his darnest to be inconspicuous at school, and failing miserably at ignoring her lol.

A very very slow burn, slice of life kind of feel at the start, a lot of studying involved, but once it gets going, I finished 3 years worth of content in a daze in 2 days! I'm kind of weak for the energizer bunny girl chasing after the grumpy broody guy trope, so this is right up my alley.

Mi-ae is just a ball of positivity. She can be sad of stuff, but not for long. Cheol who only wants to be on the down low, and wants nothing to do with such a quirky chaotic girl, but of course he can't help himself. He's just so protective of those he perceived to be picked upon. Seeing closed up Cheol gradually opening up because of Mi-ae's exuberance is a joy to watch.

Following Cheol and Mi-ae growing up together, traversing school, friendship, and sorting out their inexplicable confusing feelings (squeeee). The whole series is such a happy pill! Can't wait to see more after school group hijinks, and the growth of all the characters and their relationships.

Note: there is some triggering content like school corporal punishment, bullying, but nothing too detailed on page.

Spoilers:

My fave story arcs so far:

- Relentless Mi-ae asking frenemy Honggyu for soccer lessons because of Cheol, and clueless protective Cheol getting frustrated where Mi-ae keeps running off with scrapes all over. This is the arc where Cheol finally got worn down and accepted her millionth time offer of friendship lol.

- Jinseop's hilarious haircut scene! Enough said.

- Jinseop, who you'll first think as the love triangle or bully, suddenly becomes Cheol's and Mi-ae's love cupid to propel these two clueless lovebirds along.

- Cheol going absolutely bonkers about that accidental kiss. Priceless.

- Honggyu and Mi-ae's whole chaotic birthday arc where the gang helped Honggyu escape bullies. Starts with Cheol's jealousy antics, showing up suddenly on Jinseop and Mi-ae's impromptu date, and ended the adventurous day with crumbs of Cheol-Mae sweetness.

Can't wait for more...the mystery of Jisu (the real love triangle?), and Cheol's past/scar! Oh no it doesn't really bode well for me to get invested as CITT completed in 7 yrs. No thanks Soonkki, for the torture of ending the eng webtoon so far in a kiss-hanger. It's like a treat and torture at the same time.

children of the rune getting a webtoon series...oh how I longed for it to happen

PART 2. I would go as far to say the part 2 of this is my favorite piece out of all the Kr fantasy novels I've read (tbh I haven't read so much of those but still) the main trio of this story has a very tight bond and an interesting dynamic, I can't wait to see it drawn out eventually!

oh, if you like the tpn trio I think the dynamics are quite similar!! Maybe it could be a little like having a more naive? norman as the protagonist. (genius white hair boy who constantly puts himself to near-death situations for the sake of others, bro who wants to save his butt and gets frustrated at said boy's antics, and a strong-willed girl who gets stuck in the mess but tries her best to get those two boys and herself out of trouble) The white hair boy even devises a theory to overthrow an existing government at the age of 9 in order to save his family and it actually comes through.

I reread the novels last year and I was crying about how it should get a comic series and an anime, well, part 1 of the story(with a different plotline and protagonist) is getting one soon, so I'm sure this will too!

I'm like the only one who talks about this in this website for now but you'll see how cool it is 'v') it'll be a bit sad to see my stuff being buried but it deserves all the recognition

I wrote a short retelling of the ending spoilers for a discord server I'm in. And. Oh☹️ they changed how it was portraited. Of course they would☹️

They already changed how Lloyd would view his death– which, by the way, was seriously more tragic when he could FEEL himself die– to it just him being an outsider that can't feel or interact with anything

Novel Javier was holding back tears, trying to comfort Lloyd by telling him to Cheer Up, the doctor will be here soon, he even gave his heart a massage using mana vs Webtoon Javier with tears and sweat rolling down his face trying desperately to prolong Lloyd's life with a mana transfer

Idk the novel scene genuinely made me sad meanwhile the webtoon just made me go 0-0 ohh that cant be good. but. thats it

Novel Lloyd who arrived at his own conclusion after Javier told him that the hole they dug to throw away all the excreements from the refugees was full even though it wasn't too long ago that they dug it out

Webtoon Lloyd that was literally told to 'Remember Vienna'

Novel Lloyd, who, even in his deathbed, was still trying to comfort Javier by squeezing the hand that was holding him with all the strength he got left vs "Javier... That's enough... It's no use... and you know it... Live on... and burn them..." then promptly passes away

"Cheer up a little. Please. Lloyd-nim. Just hang in there. The doctor will be here soon." vs "You are... the protector of my second home... and a hero to the thousands of refugees you saved. That... is what the world will know you as."

Like. I don't know why this actually irritates me☹️

not only did they completely changed the way lloyd experiences the ending spoilers but y'know what infuriates me the most about this particular spoiler? the way they had lloyd see a good chunk of time after he's already dead. like!! no!!!! one of the most impactful things about the ending spoilers is how fast and abrupt and brutal they are!!

later on lloyd has to carefully time his death to make sure his past self gets to hear and see all the he needs! he can't make it too long lest his word not be included in the spoiler! because the spoilers always end the moment he dies and not a moment later! he gets to experience excruciating death and then the abrupt shock of being thrown back to his own time!

in the webtoon not only does he not get to feel himself die with every spoiler, in episode 70 he even gets to see javier prep his body and burn it along with everyone else's. like. that would've been an insane amount of time compared to the few minutes at best he gets in the novel!

and it's such a cheat to have lloyd leave himself a message at this point of the story! that isn't supposed to happen until the fourth spoiler! you see the progression of lloyd slowly learning to leave more and more clues at the time of his death to the point where by the fifth spoiler he's just outright talking to himself. not like the webtoon that has him leave a message already by the second spoiler :P

and like not to repeat back at you everything but. god. the way they completely changed javier's words,,,, like. not even close to what they were supposed to be...

"You can't... You can't leave me so soon." Javier's voice dripped with sadness and anxiety. Lloyd felt his hand being grabbed. Javier was trembling. This guy. Is he sad because I'm about to die? Lloyd guessed that his teasing friendship with Javier lasted as they grew old together. "Just hold on a little more. Please.” Javier spoke, almost pleading.

the 'you can't leave me so soon' of it all,,,,, why would they completely erase that,,,,,

novel javier is just... softer? the whole scene? instead of the frantic desperation we see in the webtoon, in the novel he's just,,, begging lloyd to hold on just a little longer, just wait for the doctor to arrive, almost keeping lloyd's heart beating himself

Lloyd suddenly felt Javier's grip tighten. At the same time, warm and clean energy flowed into his body. It was mana. Emergency treatment? Lloyd was right about it. Javier was sending his mana to Lloyd, and it traveled from his hand through the elbow to reach his chest, expanding its range at every beat and driving away the murky energy in his system. At the same time, it continuously pressed on his heart. Lloyd realized what Javier was doing. He's massaging my heart. It appeared as though this future Lloyd would draw his last breath anytime soon. Javier was striving hard to extend his life at all costs. Lloyd's heart ached as he noticed how desperate Javier was. "Master Lloyd. Please bear a little more. The physician will be here soon."

it's a different tone, a different kind of desperation if that makes sense

having said all that. i kinda can't bring myself to completely dislike the webtoon's version aklshdjksfds

like. they kinda did go off with javier almost exploding his own heart to give his mana to lloyd,,, and then that panel of his hands clutching lloyd's shirt,,, cradling lloyd's hand in his own,,,, i am not immune to a little clinging,,,

but overall i completely get your irritation nonnie i do have a lot of grievances with the webtoon when it comes to how they're choosing to adapt the ending spoilers so. i get you 〒▽〒

I'm thinking of putting the comic on webtoon as well as here! Someone on webtoon suggested it, and I was debating it for a bit...So I probably will soon! So look out for that! :D I'll make a post when I do and I'll have a link to it! Can't wait to see you there to! Here it is!

This is a little something for the webtoon I'm planning on making soon. I want to make it a full fledged comic at some point but I need a story to actually go off of so I'm making this. I truly do not know how long this will be. This is purely for fun. If there are typos, have mercy on me I'm dyslexic :3 and pls note that I am NOT A WRITER!!! I'm not a pro unfortunately to make stories :( I read them I don't make them. anyways this is probably gonna be pure dog water.

I also have two songs. You can listen to either one, they're technically the same song but ones a little different. So you can choose :3 which eva.

"hey, can you pass this over to Jess?" The blonde boy next to gou says in a quiet whisper. He leans over his desk and hands him a folded piece of paper quickly then sits back into his seat as he acts like he's still working on his assignment, to of course not get in trouble by the strict teacher.

Gou sighs and look at the brunette girl sitting in front of him. He taps her shoulder and she turns around almost immediately, like she was anticipating this happening. He motions the paper to her and she snatches it from his hand to read it at her desk and giggle to herself.

This wasn't the first time they used gou to pass on their lovey dovey notes. Written with the same red pens.

"I dont get it" gou thinks to himself. He rubs his eyes, his prominent eyebags causing them to sting a bit. He leans on his hand letting his long brown hair cover his eyes as an attempt to ignore the teacher for the rest of class.

The bell rings, echoing in the classroom into gous ears. He wakes up, his eyes trying to focus back from the blurriness from his small nap. Gous classmates walk past his desk and out the door. He takes it as a sign to grab his backpack and start to make his way outside of the classroom into the crowded hallway. "School is almost over.." Gou thought to himself. "finally a senior, I'll graduate, then I'll be able to leave my god forsaken home".

Gou had a love hate relationship with the hallways of his school. He hated how loud his classmates were. The laughter and shouting was deafening. But at the same time all he could think about was the people he was going to see waiting for him.

After walking just a little bit more down the hallway, gou spots his favorite people in the world. They were sitting on the disgusting school floor that he has told them millions of times how they should just suffer the pain of standing.

The hallway was slowly getting more crowded.

Gou moves a piece of his hair out of his dark eyes behind his ear, then waves to greet his friends. A smile planted on my face.

Students are starting to move more quickly through the hallways. They're probably excited to go home.

Gous friends have been the only thing keeping him psychically going. They've been his distraction from the outside world, from everyone else, from his home. The way their existence makes him muffle the rest of the world so it's only them he focuses on. Their faces always make him feel a type of calm, like everything is okay, everything is safe. He couldn't imagine a life without them.

People start running and screaming. Something's wrong.

"what the.." Gous hand slowly lowers. He quickly looks around and sees people running around him, bumping and pushing him in the process. He looks at his friends to hopefully get an answer of what's happening. Instead they sprint towards gou, running into students and teachers in the process. They grab gou by his blue sleeve and sprint into the direction of the front doors of the school.

"g-guys?". Gou asks quietly. He looks around at his friends pushing and shoving around students, they don't answer his question. Which he can't blame them.

They soon reach the front doors of the school, as expected it's extremely full. Kids being squished and screaming out of either pure agony from the pressure of everyone pushing them through a small entrance, or because of whatever they're running from.

"what are they thinking! We're gonna be crushed if we try to go through those doors!"

After many painful attempts to get through the front doors, they finally make it out. Having a few cuts and red marks that Gou knew would turn into bruises. He looks around his schools land only to see the same trees where kids would sit and either do their homework or just mess around. The same walking trails students would take to get to their comfortable homes. The same bikes and cars parked in the parking lot belonging to some of the kids and teachers.

He's confused. Everything felt the same, if anything he was feeling nostalgic. Remembering all the laughs and warm feelings everyone would feel being with some of their favorite people in the world.

"h-hey freya, what's going-"

A horrific scream is heard behind them, the small group turns around to see a young girl on her stomach. It's Bella. One of gous classmates. You'd assume she'd be rude and snobby because she was in the cheerleading team, but she was actually super sweet.

Her eyes are wide and red. Her mouth is agape trying to scream but nothing's coming out. She's reaching out for anything ahead of her. But no one wanted to help. Or even be around her for that matter. Not because of her, but because of what's above her.

A woman with discolored, purpling skin. Her hair greasy and thin. Eyes that are dark but clouded over. Her mouth was agape, showing her discolored, and several missing teeth. And her clothes are covered in holes and in a layer of filth, and what looked like vomit and blood. The words on her shirt are unreadable. She looked like a monster.

The monster spins bella around so she can look her in the face. She bends down so she's a few inches away from her and screeches loudly into her face. It was blood curdling, piercing the silence. It sounded like an animal in pain.

Suddenly she sinks her teeth into the young girl's shoulder, causing her to screech in pain and agony. Her hands try to grab anything to get her out of this. And tears run down her face as she cries for help, any help. But no one could. Everyone just stared in shock and horror. The monster is tearing her body into bits and pieces. The sounds were disgusting, it almost made gou want to throw up.

Her cries stopped.

And the ugly creature keeps attacking her poor lifeless body.

And like a switch, it causes more commotion. Students scream and start running in different directions trying to escape. But there's too many of these things around. More of gous fellow classmates become victims of these ugly creatures, screaming, crying, being torn to bits and pieces.

The atmosphere was rough. Everything felt cold and dreary. Gou tried to move..but he couldn't. Whatever was happening to him he couldn't explain. It was like his feet were stuck to the ground. His hands were stuck to his side, his breath was heavy. In through his nose then out his mouth. Everything was muffled around him as he stared at the lifeless body of his classmate. So many thoughts were going through his head. What could he even do? Where do they go? What's happening? How did this even start? His vision was getting dizzy and blurry.

"gou! gOU! HEY! WE HAVE TO GET OUT NOW!" Gou suddenly snapped back into this gruesome reality thanks to Freya.

Freya grabs Gou by his shoulders and shakes him. He opens his mouth wanting to say something... but is unsure what to even say.

"JUST GRAB HIM AND RUN!" Aiden shouts in urgency.

Freya obeys and grabs my wrist and runs in the direction where Aiden and Eli were standing, at the edge of the nearby forest.

"listen w-we can go into the forest. Then we can find our way back to the neighborhood-"

Elis sentence quickly gets cut off as another one of these roamers tackles him to the ground and starts to rip into his clothes. It bites into his neck just like Bella.

But Eli tries to fight off the monster, punches and kicks are thrown as a weak attempt to escape. But it wouldn't budge. It was getting pushed back a bit but it still had its eyes on Eli, like he was all it saw.

Aiden screams and runs to try and help Eli. He grabs his hands tightly to try and pull him from under the monster. It wasn't helping. So Aiden, like an idiot, tries to push off the disgusting beast from on top of Eli. He kept running and throwing himself at it.

But it was so much stronger than him, so much stronger than any of them. It grabs Aiden by his wrists and pulls him towards itself.

It bites him. Leaving a huge gash in his shoulder. Aiden screams in pain as he struggles to runs back to where Freya and Gou were standing. Aiden grips his bleeding shoulder and grunts and whines.

"w-we have to go.." Aiden says shakily.

"but..but what about eli-"

"LETS JUST GO! WE HAVE TO GO NOW!" Aiden cuts off Freya. His lip quivers almost like he's on the brink of tears.

Freya flinches and is silenced. Her and Gou nod and start to jog into the forest trails. But not before turning around to look at Eli still on the ground. His lifeless body being devoured by these disgusting beasts. It was so brutal..the way his mouth was filled with blood and his eyes were so cloudy.

Freya's eyes fill with tears as she continues to catch up to the group. The last time she'll ever see Eli again.

"Eli stop!!" Freya says in a playful tone. As she swats elis hand away from her face.

"I'm just messing with you Freya". Eli says teasing Freya.

"Ugh" Aiden rolls his eyes in annoyance. "You two are such love birds.."

Gou just smiles slightly and giggles at Aiden's joke. Gou didn't talk much but he was glad his friends were the talkers of the group. They would gladly do all the talking for him anyday.

It was the start of their senior year. They were taking their usual trail to get home, through the forest that was next door to their school. Not a lot of students would take this way since they would always go the opposite way, where all the rich houses were. Houses so big they almost looked like mansions, with the prettiest gardens, multiple bedrooms, luxurious floors, and high ceilings.

Did Gou dream of such a life? Of course he did. Oh how he wished he lived in such a way. Having butlers, and dogs with bowties, and maids. He wanted it all. It wasn't that he was ungrateful for what he has now. He is happy he has a roof over his head but it would be nice.

Gou stops daydreaming and looks at his friends who were slightly ahead of him still bickering. Freya and Eli poking at Aiden for assuming they were 'love birds', which it's not his fault. They were both awful at hiding their feelings for each other. It was so obvious but the other one didn't have the guts to tell the other. Gou and Aiden always watched from the sidelines and had tiny bets on 'who's going to confess first'. Gou bet Freya and Aiden bet Eli.

Gou watches his friends continue to bicker and takes a moment to take in the nature around him. The skinny trail slowly being engulfed by a thick carpet of leaves. Braches twisting in different directions on the trees towering above us. The sound of squirrels running around and birds flying from tree to tree. The smell always comforted Gou. The earthy, and herbal aroma. It always calmed him down.

The group runs through the thick forest. Tripping over small sticks and the uneven trail. Aiden holds his bleeding shoulder trying all of his power to keep up with Freya and Gou.

After a few minutes of running they stop to catch their breath. Breathing heavily.

"my throat hurts so bad" tears fill gous eyes and his throat stings.

"hey...we're almost to Freyas house...c-come on just a little more" Aiden suggests in a weak attempt of reassurance, already starting to walk down the trail more. His steps are weak and his legs are heavy. Freya and Gou could tell he wanted to leave as soon as possible but he was so exhausted, and his shoulder situation was making it so much worse.

"Aiden just give us a second..okay...we're..so tired-" Freya pleads.

"CAN YOU JUST LISTEN TO ME!!" Aiden shouts, causing her to flinch. Aiden pauses and looks away.

"please just..we can rest at your house Freya..just a little more". Aiden turns his back towards us and waits for a response. The silence was deafening.

Freya looks at gou for help for what to even say or do. He just shrugs and motions to just listen to Aiden.

"..yeah we can..we can go to my house".

Freya's response was weak but it did cut through the silence. Aiden doesn't say anything back and starts to walk down the trail. His head hanging low and his hand still on his bleeding shoulder.

After sneaking past some trees and bushes, they finally made it freyas house. Her door being suspiciously unlocked, and they hesitantly walk in.

"M-mom!? Dad!? Flynn!?" Freya calls out. But no response.

"just..just come on Aiden I'll see if I have anything to help with your shoulder". Freya motions Aiden to follow her upstairs, he follows behind leaving gou all by himself on the first floor to just wander around and collect his thoughts.

Freya was the only one out of all of them to even have a house. It wasn't all big and fancy like the other students but it was still home. A little more rundown. The floors were rickety and the ceilings having mysterious water stains. She wasn't embarrassed of where she lived either. She always welcomed her friends to come over and hang out and every once in a while give the classic "if they don't like my home, they don't have to come then!!"

In the bedroom, Freya works on Aiden's shoulder. He sits on the edge of her bed wincing and moving as she attempts to bandage it up. With her shaky hands and Aiden's constant pulling away, he's finally decently patched up. Was it topnotch? Not in any way but it was better than having him use his own hand as a stop for the bleeding.

Freya sighs and sits on the edge of the bed with Aiden as he has an uncomfortable expression on his face from the pulsing coming from his shoulder.

"h-hey..you okay?" Aidens face softens as he looks at Freya. Her face is emotionless. Her eyes looked empty and her fingers tangled themselves.

"huh? Oh yeah..well I should be asking you that. I mean you have a massive chomp out of you" Freya smiles and little and giggles softly as she tries to lighten the mood.

He knew she wasn't okay. I mean he wasn't either. The world is crumbling and who knows what's even happening outside right now. Everything happened so fast they couldn't comprehend what was even going on. What's worse is that they lost their best friend right in front of them.

Eli getting mauled and chewed by that monster haunted all of them. The expression of his face..how it stuck with all of them. His death replaying in their heads, it was disgusting.

"hey..it's gonna be okay frey." Aiden puts a hand on her shoulder lightly and gives her a soft smile. Freya looks back at him and smiles back. Her eyes still lost their shine. She doesn't say anything in response.

Freya gets up from the bed and starts to walk over to her door. Dragging her feet and her head hanging low.

"I'll um leave you here to rest. I'm gonna go downstairs to see gou". Freya leaves through the door and shuts it behind her without letting Aiden respond and leaving him in the room by himself.

Freya walks down her creaky stairs slowly with her arms crossed at her chest almost as if she was hugging herself. She looks around for gou and sees him standing in front of some old pictures hanging on the wall of freyas family. She slowly walks to him and stands next to him to also look at them.

"...they probably left". Freya says at a slow pace.

Gou turns his head to look at her. He furrows his eyebrows as he tries to understand what she was talking about. Freya turns to look at him back.

"my parents and flynn, They probably left already" Freya turns back at the pictures. "I mean the cars are gone, some of their clothes are gone and I'm sure they took the food.."

Gous sighs. He always knew Freyas relationship with her parents were..something. No one knew why they hated her so much. Was it jealousy because of how successful she was in school. Or was it because she was always a bit on the rebellious side, if she wanted to do something she didn't care what her parents said. She was old enough to make her own decisions and knew they couldn't get on her for it. Flynn on the other hand (her older brother) was their favorite. They'd never tell it to her face but she knew it. Oh how she knew it. And flynn knew it too, bragging in freyas face every shot he could.

Gou opens his mouth wanting to say something but doesn't know what to say. He's tried to not get into his friends business as he knows it's not his place to have a say, that's Aiden's job. But he did have some thoughts about Freyas family, not good thoughts.

"come on..let's go up and talk to Aiden about a plan." Freya suggests. Her voice is quiet almost like a whisper.

"f-freya we can just wait and settle down for a bit if you want-"

"no gou... we'll just talk to Aiden".

Freya voice was stern this time. She was getting more agitated, Gou could tell. Not wanting to make her more angry, gou nodded and silently trailed behind Freya up the creaky wooden stairs.

Freya opens the door belonging to, well now belonging to Aiden. He tenses up but calms down when he sees the faces of his friends.

"hey man" Aiden greets gou with a small smile on his face. He was in a black tanktop, with the bloody bandages just trying to hold the gash on his shoulder in place. His face was a little paler, a sheen of sweat on his forehead and his eyes looked watery like he was on the brink of tears. Gou just assumed it was his body's way of healing itself. It's gonna take a lot out of him presumably.

Aiden's eyes follow Freya as she walks towards the window. She moved the thin blue curtains with one swift motion to get a good look at her neighborhood. She's silent. No movement. Nothing.

Gou looks at Aiden and shrugs. They don't know if they should ask or...

"Freya..you okay?" Aiden asks hesitantly.

Nothing again. She's motionless.

Aiden looks at Gou again. The atmosphere was thick and felt uneasy. Something was wrong.

"freya is something-"

"why did you have to leave him."

"....what are you talking about?"

Leave him? Leave who? What is- gous thoughts get cut off as Freya spins around towards Aiden.

"YOU JUST HAD TO LEAVE ELI!" Freya shouts. Her face turning redder by the minute. She tightens her hands into a fist and grits her teeth.

"Freya you think I wanted to leave him?! You think I did that on purpose?!" Aiden replied back in a slightly louder tone.

"WELL YOU WERE SO ON THE IDEA OF LEAVING WE COULD'VE HELPED HIM FROM THAT..FROM THAT MONSTER!"

"TELL ME THEN FREYA.." Aiden gets up from the bed quickly to get in front of Freya. Not too close that they're touching, but close enough so Aiden can intimidate her.

"TELL ME WHAT WE COULD'VE DONE THEN. I TRIED TO GET THE THING OFF OF HIM I TRIED. BUT YOU SAW WHAT HAPPENED. I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WANTED FROM ME BUT ELI WAS GONNA DIE. ELI IS FUCKING GONE FREYA!". Aiden shouts. He bends down to get to her level. Their faces inches away from each other.

"and what did you do Freya.." he says in a quiet but stern tone. "You just stood there and watched. You did absolutely nothing. If anything.." Aiden takes a finger and points it at her chest

"you're the monster."

"no..I'm not"

"a monster who chose to watch her best friend die, and get fucking mauled"

"..."

"i thought you loved him Freya, turns out you didn't love him enough."

Tears run down freyas face. Her cheeks turn red, and her sniffles fill the dead silent room. Her body is weak at this point, her hands loosen from the fists and she examines the patterns on the wall behind aiden to try and not make eye contact. Aiden stiffens his posture with his hands to his side.

"don't you ever fucking say I didn't help him.." he growls. "I get you're sad and everything is shitty right now, but we have to just get over it Freya. There's nothing we can do anymore." He sits on the edge of the bed still looking at her waiting for a response.

"...."

Aiden sighs, still winching at the pain still left from his shoulder. Gou walks over to the window and gets a good look out for himself.

The streets and sidewalks are filled with them..these zombies.

"shit..we have to get out of here". Gou commands.

"what? why?" Aiden looks at Gou with worried eyes.

Gou, in a panic, starts searching around the room for backpacks or anything that can be used to carry essentials.

"now. We need to leave now."

"are..are they here? Dude I don't think they can open doors"

"that doesn't matter we need to leave"

"gou I'm sure we can just stay until this all settled down.. I mean all we dont have is-"

"protection aiden. guns, ammo, boards to block windows and doors we don't have any of that. How are we going to protect ourselves?" Gou says worriedly

Aiden sighs "and food.."

"Freya do you have bags or anything close?" Gou asks. Freya, still in defeat, points to the closet in the corner.

Gou quickly walks towards it and opens it. He grunts.

"nothing.."

Freya crosses her arms and rolls her bloodshot eyes. "They probably took all the good stuff when they left".

"are you fucking kidding me Freya" Aiden rests his hand on his forehead in annoyance.

"what do you mean 'are you kidding me'.. You think I asked them to take everything?" Freya yells back at Aiden.

"god can you guys just shut up!"

Everyone freezes and turn to look at Gou. Yes he was a quiet guy but it wasn't uncommon for him to talk. But the tone of his voice usually never changes. It was always so monotone. But when he was agitated, you could tell.

"fighting doesn't help or solve any of this. Freya go and look for a backpack or anything around the house. Aiden go be useful and start grabbing things that could help us."

"l-like what?" Aiden says softly.

"oh my god ANYTHING AIDEN! It doesn't matter what you grab just meet up in the living room when you're done"

Freya and Aiden quickly leave the room to start grabbing the things they were ordered to do. Gou takes a deep breath and tries to calm himself down.

Okay...what other places can we even go to. Stores, a police station, farms literally anything but here.

Gou looks out the window.

"damnit"

He sighs and grabs the bridge of his nose with his fingers.

What are we gonna do. Come on, you always have the solution. This cannot be the one time you have nothing. Gou come on. Please.

After some time later, Gou makes his way to the living room and sits on the couch nearest to the window. Pondering on whether they should try his or Aiden's house next, or maybe go to the nearest pharmacy. It was starting to give him a massive migraine. And it didn't help seeing the zombies outside, taunting him. He made sure to hide out of the way a bit to make sure they didn't spot him. He didn't know if they were strong enough to break a window, or smart enough to just open the front door.

Freya comes in holding two medium sized backpacks. She throws them on the couch next to gou.

"me and Flynn's middle school backpacks. They're a bit dusty and worn out but they'll work".

Gou nods and starts to inspect the backpacks, checking to see how many pockets there are. How much storage is actually in them. Aiden slowly walks in with some of the same first aids Freya has used on him and some bread slices still left in the packaging.

"that's it?". Gou asks sarcastically.

"well it's not my fault Freya's family obviously left her for dead. They took everything dude" Aiden throws the first aid on the couch as well as the sad package of bread.

"thanks Aiden, it'll still hopefully hold us for a while" Gou snatches the bread in the plastic wrapping and places it in sideways next to the first aids.

Freya crosses her arms and walks to the window to take a good look at her neighborhood. Her eyes sting as tears start to glaze her eyes and blur her vision.

"gou..what..what are we even gonna do." Freya asks timidly. Her eyes soft and her hands rubbing her arms up and down to almost comfort herself.

"what do you mean."

"like what can we do. There's obviously some type of virus or something causing people to turn into..these.."

"which is exactly why we need to go out and find a solution. We can find out where the virus started and try to exterminate it".

Freya turns around to face gou, her arms still crossed and her cheeks flushed.

"and how do you think we can go about doing that..hmm?"

Gou sighs and grabs the bridge of his nose.

"Freya I don't know, okay" gou raises his hands in defeat and lands harshly on the sides of his thighs "All we can do is just try and hope.."

"..."

"..."

"..and what if we die too"

Aiden's eyes widened at the sudden question. "H-hey don't think about that right now-'

"then we die" Aiden looks at Gou with shock. "There's not a lot we can do.."

Gou walks towards Freya and places a hand on her shoulder, looking her in her eyes. "Freya..if me or Aiden die or if there's ever a situation where you need to choose us or yourself..please choose yourself..we need any chance of fixing all of this.."

"I..I don't know gou"

"just promise me you'll try..at least"

"..."

"promise me."

"y-yeah I promise"

Gou sighs and walks towards the couch, grabbing the backpack and making his way to the backdoor. Aiden and Freya follow behind hesitantly.

"we can go through the backyard and sneak past other houses"

"where are we even going dude"

"there's a pharmacy around the corner, we can try to grab a few things in there if there is still some stuff left.. hopefully it's not crowded"

Aiden and Freya nod and wait till he opens the door. After a few more seconds he slowly peaks through the slightly opened door and crouches slowly.

Freya's backyard wasn't very...welcoming to say the least. A sad garden patch with most of the flowers and vegetables rotting away. A shed that looks like it hasn't been touched since the house was even built. It was so broken down and clearly didn't have anything inside.

The group slowly walks outside and makes their way to the neighbors backyards, the sounds of screaming and groans were horrifying. It made Freya's body hurt knowing those were her neighbors who have known her since she was practically born. They were so welcoming and willing to help her with whatever she needed. But now there's nothing she can do for them.

They reach the edge of the houses and peak around to find any type of opening to quickly run past. Zombies and dead bodies filled the streets.

"they look slow...we can jog past without them grabbing us" gou informs the other two.

Freya nods and turns to look at Aiden. His face was getting more pale, he was drenched in sweat and his breathing was becoming heavier and heavier.

"a-adien are you okay?"

Aiden looks at Freya and nods.

"are you sure cause you look so much worse than before-"

"I'm fine Freya.."

All the times the group has ever wanted to help Aiden with anything he'd always turn it down. They didn't know if he genuinely didn't want any help or was embarrassed. He was always the strong one in the group, more built than the rest of them, more of a braun type of guy. It was kinda shocking that he even hung out with them. He was the jock type of guy, was on the football team and was in weight class a lot of the time. But every time he finished a game, he didn't run to his team or his parents, watching in the crowd. Probably only went to 2 games during his highschool years. He'd run to his best friends. His number 1 supporters.

"we'll find you some more bandages and stuff when we get inside" gou looks back at the open streets. The road is still filled with zombies, crashed cars and dead bodies.

He waits a few seconds before motioning them to follow him quickly. He gets up and speed walks past the zombies as quietly as possible. Almost tripping over debris and dead bodies. The sounds of the zombies groaning and screeching gave chills.

Freya and Aiden follow behind making sure to follow gous footsteps perfectly. Freya's heart beats extremely fast, she could hear her heartbeat through her ears. The sight of the pharmacy was the only thing able to calm her down slightly.

They make it to the front, somehow not triggering any of the zombies. But the automatic doors were locked.

Gou looks through the glass of the automatic doors, squishing his face into the window. Freya and Aiden look frantically around making sure they're still not seen.

"gou what's happening??" Freya asks worryingly.

"they're not opening" gou sighs and silently curses at himself "we'll have to find another way in I guess"

"or we can just bust the door down" Aiden suggests while walking towards the doors. Gou grabs him by his good shoulder and stops him before he can throw his body at it.

"we can't just use brute strength with stuff like this. We'll just find another door-"

Gous sentence gets cut off. The doors suddenly slide open, revealing others running out of the building. Their arms are filled with medicine, small foods, prescriptions and more.

Shit. Gou realizes that there's probably hardly anything left anymore. The building is now empty...he takes a deep breath and walks in, Aiden and Freya follow behind.
